The Alabama Department of Transportation will perform maintenance Thursday, May 3 on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of Interstate 65.

The work will be done between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. between Exit 212 (the Peach Tower) and milepost 210.

During this time, northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and motorists can expect delays of up to 30 minutes, according to ALDOT. U.S. 31 was advised as an alternate route to avoid delays.

Drivers should watch for signs and be alert for construction equipment, vehicles and workers in the area.
