A Christian bike rally will be held Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Maplesville Ballpark on Shanks Drive in Maplesville.
The rally, a motorcycle ride, is a fundraiser sponsored by Lighthouse Cruisers, the Clanton chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association.
CMA is a non-profit, interdenominational motorcycle ministry with a non-denominational message of hope and love through Jesus Christ.
“Our aim is to spread the gospel,” said Rebecca White of Lighthouse Cruisers. “Our mission is ‘changing the world, one heart at a time.’”
The Lighthouse Cruisers’ motorcycle ride will coincide with CMA’s annual Run For the Son event, which has helped raise more than $41 million to spread the gospel to millions of people around the world.
Registration for the ride begins at 8 a.m.
The ride will be from 9-11 a.m., followed by a Christian and gospel music concert featuring local artists from 12-3 p.m.
Riders and non-riders are invited to attend. Donations will be accepted, and all proceeds benefit the Lighthouse Cruisers’ outreach ministries.
Door prizes, food and arts and crafts vendors will accompany the musical entertainment. Vendors should call ahead to reserve a space.
