Longtime resident of Chilton County, Mrs. Marcia Hancock Ballard, 75, passed away April 7, 2012, at Abington on Grand in Ames, Iowa.

She was a beloved teacher at Jemison Elementary School and a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a Master’s degree in early childhood education.

She was the daughter of Joy and Marcus Hancock. She is survived by three children, Charly, Mitch and Steve; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
