Peach Jam seeks vendors

Peach Jam visitors enjoy an carnival-like ride at last year’s Peach Jam Jubilee. This year’s Peach Jam will be Friday, June 29 from 4-10 p.m. The outdoor event will be back at Clanton City Park for the second year.

Chilton County’s Peach Jam Jubilee could see more attendees this year than ever before because of new amusements added to the already-large event.

This year’s festivities on Friday, June 29 from 4-10 p.m. in Clanton City Park will include an antique car exhibit and a children’s train, as well as ample space for vendors to display their goods for sale.

“What we’re trying to do is add a little bit more value to this event each year,” said Mike Robertson, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. “We’re going to have plenty of room; more space than we’ve had in past years for vendors.”

Although space abounds, vendors should turn in their booth applications and fees as soon as possible to secure “the best spot,” Robertson said.

“It’s on a first come, first served basis,” he said of booth location.

To reserve a booth, vendors for arts and crafts, food and other items can call the Chamber of Commerce at (205) 755-2400 or email info@chiltonchamberonline.com.

Potential vendors will receive an application and guidelines for booth setup.

Entry fees per space are $65 without electricity and $80 with electricity. Booth spaces are approximately 11 feet by 11 feet.

An extra charge will be added if more booth space is needed.

Booth fees are non-refundable after April 20, and payment must be received by May 31. Any applications received after June 1 must include a $10 late fee.

Generators are not allowed.

Applications must be signed and enclosed with booth fees, a brief description and pictures of the booth, as well as products to be sold.

Checks or money orders should be made payable and mailed to: Chilton County Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 66, Clanton, AL 35046.
