Ronald A. “Ronnie” Atchison, age 59, of Thorsby, passed away on March 25, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Maplesville on Oct. 22, 1952, the son of the late Miles Gilbert Atchison and the late Claudia Latham Atchison. Mr. Atchison was a truck driver.

He is survived by: brother, James Gilbert Atchison of Clanton; brother, Donald Wilbert Atchison of Verbena; and sister, Lena Louise Oates of Jemison; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Mims Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 3 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Atchison and the Rev. Willard Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
