Mary H. Phillips

Mary H. Phillips of Clanton, Alabama died Feb. 1, 2012, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mary was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Macon County to William Rufus and Jessie Mae Choron Hancock. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Clanton.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William Rufus and Jessie Mae Choron Hancock; her husband, Warner Lee Phillips; brothers, Rufus Hancock Jr., Clyde Hancock and Bruce Hancock. She is also survived by her sisters, Doris Smyer, Betty Dillard, Willie (Dale) Lenoir and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Services will be at 2 p.m. with burial following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church at 1208 Fourth Ave. N., Clanton, AL 35045 or to your favorite charity in honor of her memory.
