Severe weather, including tornadoes, is possible overnight Sunday.
The Birmingham National Weather released a hazardous weather outlook Sunday for all counties in its service area, including Chilton County.
According to the weather service, two rounds of severe thunderstorms are possible Sunday. The first storms will develop across central Alabama on Sunday afternoon and early evening ahead of an advancing warm front. High winds and large hail are possible.
The more significant threat for severe weather comes overnight Sunday. With these storms, damaging straight-line winds, tornadoes and large hail are all possible. The threat will begin as early as 8 p.m. in western Alabama. The main threat for Chilton County and central Alabama will be from midnight to 6 a.m. All severe weather should be out of the state by 10 a.m. Monday.
Strong storms are again possible during the day Thursday and into Friday.
