Chilton County and Jemison high schools have had success with alumni football games. Now, they’re trying basketball.

Both schools have alumni basketball events scheduled for this month.

The format for the Chilton County High School alumni basketball game has changed slightly.

A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the school gym, and those interested in playing can register at this time.

The cost to participate is $35, and the game will be held Saturday afternoon, also at the gym.

The Jemison Quarterback Club will sponsor a men’s basketball league beginning on Jan. 28.

Those interested should attend a meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the school’s Alton Cobb Gymnasium.

The meeting will cover rules, and the registration fee of $350 per team is due at this time.

The deadline to enter a team is Jan. 21.

Games will be played over the course of seven weeks, followed by a year-end tournament.
