Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision outside Clanton.

The wreck, involving a truck and SUV, happened around 3:30 p.m. on County Road 9, which is Kincheon Road inside the city limits.

Three people were taken from the scene with injuries; at least two were taken to Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, according to authorities.

Enterprise Fire and Rescue, Alabama State Troopers, Chilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies, CARE Ambulance and RPS Ambulance all responded and worked the wreck in heavy rains at times.
