The Clanton Conference and Performing Arts Center is hosting a “PJs and a Movie” event Friday, Dec. 16.
Guests are invited to don their pajamas and watch “The Polar Express” at 4 p.m. or 7 p.m.
“I hope and pray that we get a good response from this because I want Jeff State to allow us to do more of these,” said Christine Brown, CCPAC events coordinator. “That would be such a great thing for this community.”
Tickets may be purchased at CCPAC on Wednesdays and Fridays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or at the door Dec. 16 if space permits. Seating is limited.
To purchase tickets at a different time, call (205) 280-8211 or (205) 280-8214, or email ibrown2@jeffstateonline.com.
Brown said “PJs and a Movie” stemmed from peoples’ requests to wear something comfortable for CCPAC’s first movie showing.
“Wear your pajamas and come curl up and watch a movie with us,” Brown said. “That was the whole concept. We worked on it and put it together.”
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children 12 and under.
CCPAC is holding the Clanton Gun and Knife Expo on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is $6 for one day and $10 for both days.
Another upcoming event at CCPAC is a performance by the Chilton County Honors Band, comprised of key players from bands around the county, on Jan. 6 and 7.
CCPAC is located next to Jefferson State Community College at 1850 Lay Dam Road in Clanton.
