Christmas parades in Jemison, Thorsby Dec. 3

The city of Jemison and the town of Thorsby will have their annual Christmas Parades on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Jemison’s Christmas Parade will begin at 2 p.m. at the north entrance of Jemison High School and will travel south along U.S. Highway 31.
Fox 6 Chief Meteorologist James-Paul Dice will serve as grand marshal.
Parade participants with Christmas-themed floats may enter a float-judging contest for a chance to win prizes of $100, $75, $50 and $25.

Thorsby’s Christmas Parade will begin at 4 p.m.
Participants should line up at 3:30 p.m. in front of the old sewing factory.
Local celebrity Grayson Russell and radio personality Dollar Bill Lawson will serve as grand marshals.
