The city of Clanton tree lightning was held Thursday night at Corner Park.

Various acts performed before the lighting, including the Festival Arts Ballet from the YMCA, Chilton Christian Academy Choir, Just Twirl It Baton and Dance, the children’s choir from First Baptist Church Clanton, Attitude Dance from Cornerstone, Adreane and Maddy Barrington, the Voices of Chilton County High School, Kelsey Pierce and Chilton Dance and Twirl dance troupe.

The YMCA Queens, Miss Chilton County Queens, Miss Swedish Festival Queens and the Peach Queens were all introduced, as well Mayor Billy Joe Driver and the Clanton City council members and Ms. Senior Chilton County Reba Tucker. Sally Pitts of WSFA 12 in Montgomery served as MC.
