Davis paces Billingsley girls

1-on-5: Billingsley’s Lori Davis lays the ball in during Monday’s girls basketball game despite the efforts of all five Chilton County defenders. Davis scored a game-high 21 points as the Bears picked up a road victory.

Lori Davis scored 21 points to lead Billingsley’s girls basketball team to a 37-19 win at Chilton County on Monday.

Davis was consistent throughout the game. She scored five points in each of the first three quarters, and then turned up the intensity a little bit in the final quarter, recording six points.

Whitney Roberts helped Davis, scoring all four of her points in the fourth quarter.

With five points, Madison Price was the next leading scorer for the Bears, who led 10-3 after the first period, 19-10 at halftime and 26-17 after the third.

Keondra Looney was CCHS’s leading scorer with five points.

Billingsley’s girls and boys visit Autaugaville on Nov. 29.
