Robert Lewis “Bob” Simpson, age 77 of Clanton, passed away on Nov. 20, 2011, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

He was born in Bessemer on March 4, 1934, the son of the late Charles Lewis Simpson and the late Dorothy Cox Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was a security guard.

He is survived by: daughter, Dorothy (Jack) Rietkerk of Clanton; daughter, Theresa Atchison of Maplesville; daughter, Robbyn Espinosa of Orange, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn England of Paramount, Calif.; and sister, Martha Cullwell of Hayden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Simpson.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 25 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Mims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with Bro. David Wright and the Rev. Don Stephens officiating.

Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Stanton.
