Two residents of the Enterprise community have been arrested and charged with arson.
Henry Davis, 24, and Jovan Davis, 21, were accused of setting afire the mobile home they were living in, state Fire Marshal Ed Paulk said. The two are brother and sister.
They were charged with second-degree arson and are being held in Chilton County Jail.
Enterprise Fire Department, Clanton Police Department and Chilton County Sheriff’s Department officials responded to the blaze on Nov. 10, in the Maplewood trailer park off County Road 47.
No one was home at the time.
“Our investigation concluded the fire was intentionally set,” Paulk said.
Details about how the fire started were not available because the case has yet to go to trial.
“We encourage folks to be fire safe,” Paulk added. “We’ve got upcoming holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we want to remind people to be extra careful.”
