Jerry O’Neal Doss II, age 48, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, surrounded by his family at his home in Jemison.

He is preceded in death by his father, Neal Doss; grandmother, Lucille R. Davis; grandparents, Maye and Johnnie Doss; and nephew, Johnathan Pair.

He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Jenney S. Doss; son, Patrick Doss (Tara Frost) of Jemison; daughter, Jenniffer Doss (Marcus Alexander) of Jemison; mother, Wanda Davis and step-father, Larry “Tex” Swaney both of Jemison; grandchildren, Patrick David Doss of Clanton, Anthony O’Neal Doss of Jemison and Chloe Jane Doss of Calera; sisters, Patricia Northcutt of Jemison and Kelley Bice (Randy) of Jemison; brother, Shane Doss (Christine) of Montevallo; aunts, Juanita Popwell of Jemison and Peggy Littleton (Charles) of Birmingham; uncles, Bo Doss (Debra) of Montgomery, David Davis (Carolyn) of Los Vegas, Nev. and Gerald Davis of Montgomery; step-mother, Shirley Doss of Montevallo; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Yates (Ricky) of Clanton and Sandra Pair (Andy) of Clanton; two brothers-in-law, Charles Calloway (Ann) of Cooper and Joseph Scarbrough of Jemison; 16 nieces and nephews; 17 great nieces and nephews including special niece, Haylee Lauren McMinn; one great-great niece; one great-great nephew; and a host of other family members and friends.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. at Jemison Church of God with interment at Union Grove Cemetery in Jemison. Brother George Williams officiated. Charter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements (205-621-0800).
