Mustangs win big at Shades Mtn.

The Isabella Mustangs (6-4) beat the Shades Mountain Christian Eagles on Friday night, 55-18.
Tyler Smith rushed for 103 yards in 11 carries, with two touchdowns. He also completed a 79-yard pass to DeRodgus Campbell.
Campbell was also among the top rushers, with 54 yards on five carries. Mason Pate rushed for 67 yards in 10 carries and scored two touchdowns.
For the Isabella defense, Nathan Smith made six tackles and Austin Parker made four tackles. Parker also had three interceptions, one for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Next week the Mustangs face defending state champions Leroy.
“We know we’ve got our hands full, but we’re excited about being in the playoffs,” said coach Scott Booth.
