Eddie Edwards, 83, of Clanton died Monday, July 25, 2011.

He was born Monday, Aug. 22, 1927, in Chilton County, son of the late Thomas Lee Edwards and the late Arvzner Patterson Edwards.

He was the founder and owner of Edwards Jewelers.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah  Edwards of Clanton; three sons, Rex (Dee Dee) Edwards of Clanton, Randy (Tracy) Edwards of Clanton and Danny (Tammy) Edwards of Clanton; daughter, Judy (Gary) Woods of Clanton; 14 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, July 28 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ralph Brannon and the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
