Foy Ray “Buddy” Tillery, age 86 of Randolph, passed away on May 31, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 17, 1924, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Houston Tillery.

Buddy was the former owner of Tillery’s Grocery in Randolph. He was also a retired steel worker.

He is survived by: daughter, Patricia Tillery Mims of Randolph; son, Bobby Ray Tillery of Randolph; son, Billy Roy Tillery of Randolph; brother, Robert Tillery of Maplesville; sister, Betty Jo Pate of Randolph; sister, Ruth McAfee of Maplesville; along with six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2 at noon from Randolph Baptist Church with the Rev. William Kee officiating.

The body will be in state from 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Thursday.

Burial will follow in the Randolph Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph.
