Donald Roy Avery, 69, of Calera died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Whitfield Memorial Hospital, Demopolis.

He was born on Saturday, Sept. 13, 1941, in Jefferson County, son of the late Tom Avery and the late Louise Sundberg Avery.

He was a sales representative.

Surviving are his wife, Jenny Avery of Calera; daughter, JiJi (Morgan) Lawley of Montevallo; son, Heath (Wendy) Avery of Calera; four grandchildren, Chet Avery of Calera, Carley Avery of Calera, Avery Lawley of Montevallo and Carter Lawley of Montevallo.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Erickson officiating.

Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery in Jemison.
