Alphas Webster Cole, 85, of Clanton died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham.
He was born Friday, Jan. 8, 1926, in Hale County, son of the late Charlie C. Cole and the late Maggie Bell Crawford Cole.
He was a cabinet maker. He was the founder of LACO Woodworks in 1964. He was also a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and Chilton Baptist Builders.
Surviving are his wife, Billie Cole of Clanton; son, Bob (Tammy) Cole of Clanton; three daughters, Dianne (Stan) Benton of Clanton, Darlene Cunningham of Clanton and Denise (David) Hubbert of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Sheila Smith of Clanton; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Payne of Tuscaloosa; and brother, Harry Cole of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Maggie Bell Cole; and son, Bill Cole.
Services will be held Friday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Roland Davis and the Rev. Kent Dodson officiating.
Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
