George Scott “Scottie” Bright

George Scott “Scottie” Bright, age 49 of Maplesville, passed away on May 10, 2011, at his residence. He was born Aug. 6, 1961, in Bibb County, the son of James Bright and Betty Owens Bright.
Mr. Bright was employed as a mechanic with Gibson Timber Company.
He is survived by: wife, Pam Bright of Maplesville; daughter, Amanda (Randall) Carter of Maplesville; son, Josh Bright of Maplesville; parents, James and Betty Bright of Centreville; custodial children, Trey Harmon and Harley Vessicchio, both of Maplesville; sister, Brenda Wilson of Centreville; sister, Carol Hathcock of Centreville; sister, Melissa Wilson of McCalla; sister, Janet Hoyt of Centreville; sister, Betty Cheryl Wyers of Centreville; brother, Jimmy Bright of West Blocton; brother, Lacy Bright of Brent; and grandsons, Colby and Conner Bright.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 2 p.m. from New Life Assembly of God Church in Maplesville with the Rev. Robert Haggard officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Life Assembly of God Cemetery.
