Jim Ellison, age 77 of Jemison, passed away on April 12, 2011, at his residence. He was born on July 6, 1933, in Chilton County, the son of the late Jimmy Ellison and the late Ollie

Brewer Ellison.

Jim retired as a supervisor from the railroad.

He is survived by: wife, Mary Elizabeth Ellison; daughter, Yolanda (Andy) Davison; granddaughter, Kinsley Davison; sister, Mary Charles Paschal; brother, Donald Ray Ellison; and brother, Larry Dale Ellison, all of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by: father, Jimmy Ellison; mother, Ollie B. Ellison; brother, Joe O. Ellison; and brother, Chester Ellison.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 2 p.m. from Thompson Chapel Assembly of God Church in Jemison with the Rev. Mark Bolton, the Rev. Royce Ellison and the Rev. Bunion Porter officiating. The body will be in state one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Burial will follow in Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison.

Pallbearers will be: Steven Bice, Christoper Bice, Joe Earl Ellison, Jimmy Ellison, Aubrey Ellison, Jeff Paschal and Brian Paschal.
