The Clanton Police Department Auxiliary held the inaugural Central Alabama Battle Jam on March 12.

The battle of the bands styled competition invited six of the top bands from across the state to compete at the Chilton County Fairgrounds to help raise money for Juvenile Diabetes.

The turnout for the event was estimated at slightly more than 500, with the band Endeavor capturing top honors.

Approximately $1,500 was raised for Camp Seale Harris, and will be presented at the Police Auxiliary Banquet on Saturday, March 26, from 4-6 p.m.
