Doris (Dot) Robinson

Doris (Dot) Robinson, 86, of Jemison passed away Feb. 27, 2011.
She was born on May 30, 1924, the daughter of Johnny and Estelle (Stella) Burnette.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln Robinson; a daughter, Gail Childress; four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Spencer of Birmingham; Thomas (Colleen) Robinson of Bothall, Wash.; Sue Webb of Jemison and Johnny (Laurie) Robinson of Jemison; and grandchildren, Gene (Michelle) Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Patrick Robinson, Kristin (Joe) Brillant, Jimmy (Maha) Spencer, Angie Livengood, Martie (Shannon) Vinzant, Hollie Davis and John Robinson.  She also had 10 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Carol Marcus of Clanton, and had a host of nieces and nephews she held dear to her heart.
She loved to cook and was well known at reunions for her famous “chicken pie.” She was a remarkable woman who was devoted to her family and will be truly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2 at Collins Chapel Baptist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
