Lela DeVaughn Powell, 91, of Clanton died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

She was born Sunday, Oct. 26, 1919, in Chilton County, daughter of the late James F. DeVaughn and the late Minnie Williams DeVaughn.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vastene Powell; and infant daughter, Shirley Maxine Powell.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29 at Martin Chapel.

Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

Interment will follow in New Cedron Cemetery in Billingsley.
