Helen K. Nichols graduated up to heaven on Jan. 27, 2011.

There will be a celebration of her life and homegoing on Monday, Jan. 31 at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo at 11 a.m. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday evening from 6-8, and another on Monday morning from 9-11. Burial will follow in Montevallo Cemetery.

Many have commented in recent days of what an encouragement and inspiration she was. She was a simple lady who loved life, family, her church, particularly her Sunday School class, and her Lord. She will be greatly missed by all.

Helen was preceded in death her husband, Reece Nichols; her parents, Cody and Annie Maude Kendrick, and daughter-in-law, Barbara.

She is survived by her children, Sid Nichols of Oxford, Margaret Pike and husband Danny of Montevallo, Lamar Nichols and wife Kim of Auburn, and Cindy Blake and her husband Johnny of Montevallo.
Her grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Brandon, Mysti, Nathan, Meg, Cody, Stetson, and Justin will serve as her pallbearers. She also had three great-grandchildren that she really thought were great!

Members of her Sunday School class will be honorary pallbearers along with her dear friend, Brenda Haynes.

In lieu of flowers, you may send contributions to the Calhoun Baptist Association at 1130 Woodstock Ave., Anniston, AL 36207 to used in ministry.
