Chilton County Schools will delay starting 2 hours on Tuesday because of the threat of icy roads.

Superintendent of Education Dave Hayden made the announcement Monday afternoon.

It’s possibly that freezing temperatures Monday night could make roads hazardous to travel early Tuesday.

Hopefully, the threat from winter weather will end Tuesday. The high is expected to be in the low 40s, warm enough to melt any ice lingering from Sunday’s storm.
