William Richard “Dick” Milam, 84, of Clanton died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Friday, Jan. 29, 1926, in Columbus, Ga., son of the late Fonzell Milam and the late Lilly Wheat Milam.

He was a flooring installer.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie Milam of Clanton; three sons, Ricky (Julie) Milam of Clanton, Paul (Susan) Milam of Clanton and Ronald Milam of Clanton; five daughters, Sheri DuBose of Antioch, Tenn., Vickie Cleckley of Clanton, Ramona Milam of Clanton, Kim (Keith) Price of Clanton and Alyson (Rick) Glass of Jemison; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and brother, D.L. (Frances) Stephens of Marion.

Friends will be received from 9-11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 23 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willard Fredrick officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial  Cemetery in Clanton.
