Lois L. Askew, 93, of Jemison died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010.
She was born Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1917, in Shelby County, daughter of the late Edgar N. Askew and the late Ophilia Peoples.
She was a bookkeeper.
Surviving are her brother, Mr. Tommy Askew of Knoxville, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Hazel Northcutt of Jemison; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 1 at Providence Baptist Church no. 1.
Services were held Friday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church no. 1 in Montevallo with the Rev. Allen Foster officiating.
Interment followed in Providence no. 1 Cemetery located in Montevallo.
Martin Funeral Home directed.
