Roy “Buddy” Olin Gilliland, 77, of Rockford died Monday, July 26, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
He was born Monday, March 13, 1933, in Coosa County, son of the late J.E. Gilliland and the late Lois Amy Guy Gilliland.
Surviving are his sister, Virginia G. Hughes; four brothers, Don Gilliland, Joe Gilliland, Robert Gilliland and Jimmy Gilliland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. and Lois Amy Gilliland; and sister, Elizabeth McGrady.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Thursday, July 29 at 11 a.m. at Sardis Baptist Church in Coosa County with the Rev. Jeff Hardy officiating.
