Kaitlin Ray is a Peach Queen — again.
The 2006 Young Miss Peach was crowned the 2010 Junior Miss Peach on Tuesday night.
“I was shocked. I did not expect it at all,” Ray said after her win.
Ray said she is excited about getting to know her fellow Peach Queens and that she still enjoys strong bonds with her 2006 Peach sisters.
She said she also looks forward to representing Chilton County again and working with this year’s Peach Fest chairman, Tom Brown. She also wished longtime Peach Fest chairman Richard Davis a quick recovery from illness that prevented him from organizing this year’s pageant.
The 14-year-old Clanton resident is the daughter of Tim and Kim Ray and is a student at Chilton County High School. She was sponsored by Allen Food Marts and I-65 Exxon.
Ray’s court included first alternate Hannah Tierce, second alternate Kelcie Beam, third alternate Catherine Rowe and fourth alternate Georgia Peters.
Rounding out the top 10 were: Kaelyn Mims, Brooke Wilkerson, Savanah Adams, Laken Patterson and Marissa Muir.
Tierce was also named Miss Congeniality and won the evening’s casual wear category.
