Leah Easterling and reigning Young Miss Peach Anna Calhoun clasped hands and jumped up and down for joy after the announcement that Easterling would take home this year’s crown.

“I’m thinking we have a great year ahead,” Easterling said after winning.

The 11-year-old is a student at Clanton Middle School. She is the daughter of Keith and Amy Easterling.

“She’s been excited and looking forward to this year’s pageant,” said Amy Easterling. “We’re so excited.”

Easterling’s court included first alternate Grayson Gann, second alternate Hope Knight, third alternate Madison Price and fourth alternate Maddy Barrington.

The Junior Miss Peach Pageant will take place Tuesday evening at 6:30 at Chilton County High School. The pageants will culminate with Thursday’s Miss Peach pageant, also at 6:30 p.m. at Chilton County High School.

Grace Owens was crowned Little Miss Peach on Saturday.
