Little Miss Peach contestants showed off their green thumbs Wednesday at Petals from the Past in Jemison.

During their party, the girls planted summer snapdragons and garden peach tomatoes to take home with them.

The girls, who range in age from 5 to 7, have their second practice Thursday at 4 p.m.

Reigning Little Miss Peach Grace Nolen will crown her successor in the first Peach Pageant, set for Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. at Chilton County High School.

The Young and Junior Miss Peach contestants had their parties earlier in the week. Miss Peach contestants will have their skating party Friday night.
