Andrew Charles Walker, 84, of Clanton died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born Wednesday, September 2, 1925, in Talladega County, the son of the late John Mack Walker and the late Mary Alpha Jones Walker.
He was a machinist.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Annie Lee Sanders Walker of Clanton; son, Mr. Tim Walker of Clanton; two daughters, Ms. Cathy Robinson of Clanton and Mrs. Angela (Terry) Perdue of Millbrook, AL; four grandsons, Mr. Michael Robinson of Ft. Walton, Fla., Mr. Justin Walker Sr. of Clanton, Mr. Zachary Adam Burdette of Millbrook and Mr. Logan Perdue of Millbrook; two granddaughters, Mrs. Christy (Scott) Gilliland of Okinawa, Japan and Ms. Ashley Burdette of Millbrook; three great-grandsons, Noah Gilliland of Okinawa, Japan, Justin “Jay” Walker Jr. of Clanton and Aden Burdette of Millbrook; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Gilliland of Okinawa, Japan.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Melton Short, the Rev. Donnie Messer and the Rev. Joey Green officiating.
Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
