Thelma Stroud of Maplesville celebrated her 95th birthday with family and friends at her home on April 25. She was delighted to see and visit with everyone recalling fond memories while receiving warm hugs and well wishes.

Mrs. Stroud is a lifelong resident of Chilton County. She grew up in Isabella and later moved west of Maplesville where she and her late husband, Barney C. Stroud, farmed for some 25 years. They also owned and ran an eating establishment.

She is the mother of four children, has four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
