City employees fixed a sewer line they busted while repairing a leaking water main Tuesday night on US Highway 31 in Clanton.

The roadwork slightly re-directed traffic throughout Wednesday morning and early afternoon, closing the southbound lane and switching it to the turning lane.

Both were repaired by Wednesday afternoon. Clanton Mayor Billy Joe Driver said the southbound lane should reopen sometime early Wednesday afternoon.
