Clara Nell Mims, 86, of Clanton died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born Saturday, May 12, 1923, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Benny Davis and the late Abbie Little Davis.

She was a beautician.

Surviving are her four sons, Mr. Kenneth Mims of Clanton, Mr. Keith “Tack” Mims of Randolph, Mr. Kendall “Boonie” Mims of Clanton and Mr. Kelly Mims of Clanton; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth O. Mims; granddaughter, Dedra Mims Hunt; and great-granddaughters, Chealsa and Chelisa Hunt.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, April 16 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Evie Megginson and the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
