Isabella fell to West Blocton, 8-3, but turned around on Thursday and defeated Vincent, 8-2, later in the day.
The Mustangs (6-11) are taking advantage of spring break by hosting several games, including four more on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m.
Against West Blocton, Allen Edwards went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Blake Lawley, Hunter Mims and Trent Wyatt all had hits, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Austin Haigler from suffering the loss.
Haigler did strike out eight batters in seven innings.
Edwards continued his impressive day with a 2-for-4 performance in the win over Vincent. He also had three RBI.
Austin Anderson and Sawyer Cahalane both doubled, and Sean Haigler drove in a run.
Cahalane was the winning pitcher, allowing only three hits and striking out five in seven innings.
