From staff reports
The U.S. Census Bureau is currently accepting applications for temporary, part-time jobs in the Chilton County area.
Census jobs offer good pay, flexible hours and are typically close to home.
Those who apply for the jobs must take a 30-minute timed test.
Applicants should arrive approximately 15 minutes early to the testing site.
They will be asked 28 multiple-choice questions that test clerical skills, reading, number skills and organizational skills.
Plan to spend about three hours at the testing session due to the time it takes to fill out required forms and complete the test itself.
Applicants should bring with them either a passport or employment authorization document (unexpired and a photo) or other accepted form of identification.
A practice test is available online at www.2010censusjobs.gov.
Just visit the site and click on “documents” then click on “Census practice test.”
