It wasn’t a win, but Jemison girls basketball coach Leighsa Robinson was proud of her team after Thursday’s 43-19 loss to host Holt in the Class 4A, Area 7 tournament.

“We played an outstanding game,” Robinson said. “We gave them a run for their money.”

The Panthers kept it especially close for a half, trailing only 21-9 at the break.

Shelby Lopez led Jemison with six points, and Codi Mims added four points.
