Ottis Scott

Mr. Ottis J. Scott, age 83 of Clanton, passed away Dec. 27, 2009.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Talladega Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Rick Andrews officiating and burial following at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday night at Talladega Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
Mr. Ottis Scott, a former resident of Talladega, resided in Clanton for the last 14 years. He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, with whom he served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Mr. Ottis Scott is survived by his wife, Marylou Scott; seven children, Jerry and Wanda Tumlin, Terry and Sherry Tumlin, Berry and Rick Andrews, Perry and Brenda Tumlin, Robert E. Lee and Jan Scott, Marylou Diane Morris, and Crystal and Billy Connell; two brothers; one sister; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
The following men will serve as pallbearers: Alan Andrews, Danny Howard, Blaine Webster, Leif Gay, Billy Wayne Connell Jr. and Lance Gillispie.
Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
