Jeffery Sammons

Jeffery Dean “Jeff” Sammons, 42, of Jemison died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at his residence in the Mineral Springs community.
He was born Tuesday, Dec. 19, 1967, in Clanton, son of Charles D. Sammons and Virginia Lee Hamrick.
Jeff was a 1985 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in financial management.
He was employed with Regions Bank for 15 years. He served at both the Jemison and Clanton branches. He was vice president. Jeff also served as president of the Clanton Kiwanis Club for 2009.
Jeff was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Surviving are loving wife, Janet Sammons; loving daughter, Lindsay Sammons; loving son, Bailey Sammons, all of Jemison; mother, Jeannie Hamrick; stepfather, Lester Hamrick, both of Thorsby; father-in-law, Billy Crumpton; mother-in-law, Janice Crumpton, both of Thorsby; brother-in-law, Terry Knight; sister-in-law, Shelia Knight; two nieces, Payton Knight and Raegan Knight, all of Clanton; and father, Charles Sammons of Clanton.
He was preceded in death by brother, Vince Sammons; grandparents, John and Lois Reynolds; and grandmother, Inez Sammons.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. from Mineral Springs Baptist Church Family Life Center with the Rev. Charles Brooks and the Rev. Jason Rothe officiating.
Interment followed in Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery.
