A Chilton County Sheriff’s Department patrol car and at least one other vehicle were involved in a motor vehicle accident Friday near Jack’s on Highway 31 north in Clanton.

Both the patrol car and the civilian’s vehicle sustained damage, but no injuries were reported. The deputy was examined at an area hospital and screened as required for insurance purposes.

Sheriff Kevin Davis was still awaiting a report and video footage on the incident as of Monday.
