Nellie Mims

Nellie Juanita Mims, 75, of Clanton died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009 at home.
She was born on Oct. 21, 1934 in Monroeville, daughter of the late Marion Robert Davidson and the late Sophia Zonnell Fox Davidson.
Mrs. Mims was a homemaker.
Surviving are her seven children, Janice (Joel) Smitherman, James (Debbie) Mims, Bernie Mims, Becky (Mike) Scott, Alma Kroeger, Pauline (Billy) Clackley, Robert (Barbara) Mims; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Davidson and Jimmy Davidson; three sisters, Mary Anderson, Linda (Wayne) Puckett, and Opal Connell; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fred Mims, parents, Shag and Sophia Davidson, five brothers and two great-grandchildren.
Friends were received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Smitherman and the Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
