A 29-year-old Clanton man has been arrested and charged with two counts of rape.

Jamaio Alkawan Paige was being held in the Chilton County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon on $100,000 bond.

Paige allegedly forced an unidentified victim into his house and forced her to have sex with him, according to police reports. The attack happened Sunday, Sept. 13.

The victim was transported to Chilton Medical Center for treatment for her injuries, Clanton Police Chief Brian Stilwell said.

Paige turned himself in to Clanton detectives Sept. 15 without incident.

The victim and Paige apparently had a relationship in the past, but it had been broken off for several months, according to police reports.
