Peggy Davis Kreider

Peggy Joy Davis Kreider died Aug. 16 at the Plantation Key Convalescent Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 9, 1930, in Montgomery. She was a longtime Keys resident and the owner of Kreider Interiors in Marathon. She was also an artist and designer at Union Stoneware in Union, Maine. She also lived on Lake Mitchell in Rockford and worked at a local laundromat in Clanton. There, she was known for her helpful and hard working attitudes.
Survivors include children, Deborah (Jeff) Chase of Mattapoisett, Mass., Ruth (Peter) Roe of Big Pine Key, Mark (Linda) Kreider of Topsham, Maine, Christopher (Janine) Kreider of Darien, Ga., and Michael (Carrie) Kreider of Concord, Calif.; grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Aaron, Christy, Kendra, Brenden, Kirsten, Michael, Eric, Ian, Courtney, Brooke, Taylor, Joshua and Michael; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son, Joseph R. “Bobby” Jones; and daughter, Sherilyn Joy “Sherry” Jones.
A graveside memorial will be held in Birmingham at a later date.
