Thorsby and Jemison advanced to the championship game of a postponed and shortened Chilton County Baseball Tournament with wins Monday.

The Rebels defeated Maplesville, 11-1, to earn a spot in the title game, and the Panthers topped Isabella, 24-1.

The tournament was postponed from its originally scheduled dates, March 13-14, and neither Chilton County—the winner of the past four tournaments—nor Verbena could participate because of the change.

The championship game of the single elimination tournament will be played at 5:30 p.m. today at Jemison, the host school.
