Tuesday: The Chilton County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a luncheon at the First United Methodist Church Helen Parrish Activity Center at noon. The cost is $7. The guest speaker is Kathy Johnson, director of Alabama Broadband Initiative.

Wednesday: Today is the first Lenten lunch at Walnut Creek United Methodist Church with guests the Rev. Tony Smitherman and Eddie Lightsey. A meal of soup, cornbread and dessert is provided

Next weekend: The West Chilton Brotherhood presents the third annual Outdoor Extravaganza, Wild Game Feast and Tent Revival at Reynolds Pasture seven miles west of Maplesville. Camping and motor homes are welcome.
