Question may finally get answered

Even if the residents of Pine Hill Cemetery are resting in peace, those that maintain the location are not. Jemison Mayor Eddie Reed on Tuesday asked city residents to help officials identify plots in the cemetery. Though the city has maintained the site for at least 30 years, questions remain about whether many plots are owned or are available.
So, the city can’t give permission to bury at Pine Hill, which is one of the oldest cemeteries in the city and is located just off Highway 31 near the Plierville community.
It’s unfortunate that information about the cemetery has been lost, but there’s nothing to be done about that now. The only solution is for those that have information about the site to contact the city, as Reed has asked.
